Meet Our Brewer

Andrew Lane

Andrew was born and raised in Houston, Texas where he graduated from the University of Houston with BS in Restaurant and Hotel Management.  While attending college, he fell in love with the art and science of beer after taking a home brewing class. He then started home brewing regularly while working as a sales representative for a major alcohol distributor. In 2016, he left the sales industry and Texas behind to come to the great state of New Mexico and follow his passion of professional brewing. After moving his way up from the packaging line of Santa Fe Brewery, to the Assistant Brewing position at Blue Corn Brewery, he decided to further his brewing education and graduated from the American Brewer’s Guild program in 2018. With his new education in hand he became the Head Brewer and Distiller at Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery where he won a bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival for his Double Brown Ale. Andrew joined the Hidden Mountain team in May of 2022.

Outside of work Andrew enjoys hiking, cooking, skiing, gardening, loud music, and spending time with his family and friends.

His favorite beer styles are German Lagers and the ever evolving IPA.
